Scotland
As some of you may have guessed, the post locating us in Argentina was a mistake. (hehe – I guess it kept you on your toes). We have not been able to post as often or as easily as we anticipated. Traveling is full time 😉
Scotland..
a perfect 2 & half days
as though the country put itself in character for our amusement.
On the Ferry from Ireland to Troon, Scotland I heard a mother call to her young daughter “come hither”.
After a tour of Glasgow, a Tepee campout, and a visit to Deep Sea, we spent a night at a Novotel Hotel on the outskirt of Edinburgh for some well needed self care. Very contemporary, fitting in so nicely with the cool mix of design we have been seeing throughout the Scottish cities. Elmir got some work done and I soaked the children (2 hours each day in the warm salt water pool).
Edinburgh = AMAZING! Â Â We walked and stair climbed this medieval city’s Royal Mile. Loving every corner. A guide book on the ferry suggested that I should visit this city looking up – well common sense didn’t click in for me to also look down, until I tripped and scraped my knees (totally embarrassed :/ but ok). In the photos you will notice the children talking to a street performing moose from Canada.
On the drive South towards England we stopped to play in a towns playground just in time for the opening ceremony of their festival. Scottish marching bands, women in fancy hats, and lots of atmosphere. Â The people in this town found it handy to have the pub patio directly beside the playground – everyone got to have a good time!
